According to the American Academy of Dermatology, acne
is the most common skin problem in the United States.
It affects approximately 80 percent of people, aged
20 - 30. Retin-A is used to treat acne,
zits and other skin conditions. Retin-A
reduces the formation of pimples. It enhances rapid
healing for new acne and offers better skin care. Retin-A
should be used per a medical provider’s instructions.
During initial usage, the skin may feel warm, with mild
stinging or redness. As the skin adjusts to
Retin-A, the effects should subside. A physician
should be notified if blistering, crusting, redness,
severe burning or swelling of the skin, occur. Tretinoin
is the generic name for Retin-A. It’s
the preferred treatment for many patients with acne.
