It is a unique way to quit smoking. Zyban
costs less than other smoking cessation programs. As
the first non-nicotine, oral medication, Zyban
is FDA-approved as an aid to smoking cessation. There
is not any conclusive data regarding the way Zyban
curtails nicotine addiction. Certain researchers believe
that Zyban acts on the part of the
brain that is addicted to the ingredients in cigarettes.
Dry mouth, headache, increased sweating, nausea/vomiting,
constipation, anxiety, fatigue and blurred vision are
potential side events. Although Zyban
should be taken as directed, it is usually prescribed
twice daily for 7 to 12 weeks.
